06 windshield removal

Brown just delivered my cee bailey's 4+3.

Unfortunately, I haven't rec'd my new shop manual yet.......so how do you remove the windshield "W" on an 06 ?

There's two very small allen head screws - they are installed on the lower part of the W, facing up. I seem to recall they take a 3mm allen wrench. Then the W just pops off, and there are about 6 or 8 plastic screws you remove. Piece of cake.

3mm allen (metal) (the drivers built like screwdrivers are the best here), then #2 phillips plastic screws with very light torque. When reinstalling, do take up all the slack in the rubber bushing the nut is in, but it would be very easy to over-tighten.

The new Cee Bailey's (production started a week or so ago) fit OK, though the screw holes aren't quite perfect. Perhaps airplanes have a little more natural flex in these areas than out bikes.
