500+ miles riden now. Did a little commute again today since the weather here in IL is cooperating. Now getting familiar with the machine, I wasn't planning this at all but experience on the throttle taught me what I could get away with so far. So I'm in 1st gear, feeling one with the bike, gave the throttle a wack and to my amazement the front end started to come up. Guess I'd been a good boy with the roll-ons til now. I didn't tense up at the surprise or lose composure. I just backed off and laughed at the revelation. Won't be doing that a whole lot. Wheelies have always been a no-no for me. Scared of em, I'll admit. Scared of wrecking my beloved machine and hide. Glad to know where the demon lurks. With that I am so very glad I didn't jump right into a Liter bike. This is plenty. Ya'll were right. This is NOT my dad's 600.
