07 Sighting at Norcross, GA Motorcycle Show

Spotted an 07' FJR in Norcross on Saturday at the North Atlanta Trade Center Motorcycle Show. Anyone from the forum?

First time to that motorcycle show, what a disappointment!! :angry2: Although some great deals on "do" rags and tassels.

I was there on Saturday, and I was a bit dissapointed too. I was hoping to check out the 07 FJR but I didn't even see a Yamaha dealer there! Did I just miss them?

No you didn't miss them. I was suprized to see the BWM guys there. I'm sorry but that show was a fricken vendor fest full of leather clad trash!! Who's buying all of those $30,000+ choppers?

We're thinking about driving over for the day that Saturday. You think it 's worth the drive? Want to see mfr displays as I probably won't make daytona this year.

Yes, this is the real deal. This show has traditionally been held at Cobb Galleria which is just north of Atlanta. This year it's at the Georgia World Congress Center downtown Atlanta because they have outgrown the galleria. I'm planning on attending Saturday. I'm going to create a seperate post for dinner plans that day. Hope to see ya there. Sounds like the boys from Bama might make it over as well.

I was there Sunday and there was an 07 in the parking lot around noon when I was leaving, The show did suck!! I will be at the IMS show in two weeks.

I would have thought Yamaha would be there to push their cruisers. Oh well, hopefully I'll catch them at the IMS in a few weeks.

I was talking to the vendor selling Gerbings heated liners and he said he's not going to the IMS because they charge so much more for vendor space. He also said that he think the IMS draws lots of chrome lookers, but not so many "riders" who would actually buy his stuff. Maybe that's just sour grapes, but I thought it was interesting.

Thanks for the info; our plan right now is to drive up Friday night after work, stay the night south of town somewhere, go to the show Saturday and drive home that afternoon. I'll watch that other post for gathering info...

That fiasco at the trade center is a joke.

They charge you money to come in an buy cheap leather and other harley type crap.

I stopped attending several years ago,it's a waste of time and money.

The show on Feb 23-25th at the congress center is wonderful with most manufacturers show casing their new stuff.

I'll be there for sure.The 07 might have been Mighty Joe from our forum,he just picked up his new ride a couple weeks ago.

Hmm, I did not know about this. It does sound interesting. I think downtown Atlanta is a good 3.5 hour drive for me. I might just have to do it...
