Shyeah---roight! Talk to us when Christmas has come and passed. Listen, noobie, we've BTDT...I have the T-shirt and the hat. You are talking to members who survived the PDP when promised delivery dates were off by 30 days or more. And then we were GLAD to finally receive our FJRs.
Oh, for the good old days of putting our $500 down and hoping...praying...believing your new FJR would be here in time for your planned vacation ride. Then 2 weeks after you get back from your "around California tour" on your old Connie, you get THE call.
No FJR forum to help, very little information except for the Euro FJR Owners, finally...the "Green Room" opens. So many great people gave us so much information gleaned by their own hard work: Bounce, HMarc, Warchild and others. We've come a long way, baby!
Then the invasion of the French detuned engines and the different fixes. The bad OEM Metz's. Those who suffered through the loose steering head bearings and warned us all. The loose pannier lock setscrews and owners losing sidecases while riding down the road. Much of the "Double check this on delivery" info in the two Bin O' Facts threads came from these FJR pioneers. Yep, you newbies will never understand, and good for you.
I'm guessing the '08s will be delivered after Jan 1, not Dec. :scrooge smiley:
