On the the waiter list at a very large dealership here in So Cal. Last time I was a waiter there was for my Fjr and the vin says I got the 5th one made. I can't wait! Love to go on that D.P. ride with the group in Nor Cal.

Uhmmmm -- I suppose this is what happens when you click on the forum after surfing **** sites.

Just to be clear, we are planning a D.S. (dual sport) ride up here.

 But I'm unaware of any double penetration riding planned for the nor cal group.

BTW -- that sounds like a great bike. Enjoy, once the wait is over. How long until delivery?

????????????HuH

And from here it is way north ya BUM, as in the title of the thread :FODS - FJR Owners Dual Sport Ride 9/15-9/16 or some other date see within, Northern California FODS - All welcome

ya D.A.
Mmmhmmm -- of that I'm well aware. It's about an hour up the hill from me, I've been out reconnoitering the area, and riding with the originator of that thread. But you've been invited to a D.S. ride, and NOT to a D.P. ride. Capiche?!? So, are you gonna have the bike by then?

I sat on a 2007 530 EXC at a large KTM dealership near Dcarver's. Very, very nice bike. The 2008 is a redesign, right? :dribble:

FJamR: I'm a waiter also... 2008 KTM 300 XC-W E-start. 300cc 2-stroke with electric start. The perfect east coast enduro bike. At least that is what I hope. And let's see if I can get it tagged in my home state! My only wish is that it came with a 6-speed instead of 5-speed.

If I was a rich man, I'd own a KTM 300XC-W, 530 EXC, FJR-1300, Victory Vegas, and Yam Majestic 400 scooter. 2 out of 5 aint bad.

Semantics. Hope to have the bike by then though. I talked with them today and they said they will give me an ETA next week.

From the KTM site: "totally re-designed XC4 engine" and a "completely overhauled chassis." I'm already planning farkles!

Excellent! How big is your back yard? Really, FODS will be jumping around so why not have it in your backyard next :) Your area good for winter riding too? Can I really add you to the FODS rider gathering list of attendees?

I don't want to commit to FODS ride until I know I'll have the bike by then, but it sounds like a blast. Plenty of great riding in these San Bernardino mountains and surrounding areas.

Sweet! I'd make the dealer do the jetting and decalifornicate it (remove the California smog BS for all you other people). By the way that's my next bike :good:

You won't be disappointed E/H. When I first got it home I rode it down the street I felt ill. It was really plugged up and geared way too high. Now that I've had it 4 days, I've rejetted,o ring modded,de-smogged,regeared (I would do way over 100 easy in stock form), replaced the crappy d.o.t. knobbies with Maxxis desert tires, and put on a pipe. I must say this thing is SWEET!!! It truly is a urban assalt vehicle. Without doing anything illegal, it seems like I'm doing something wrong by just riding it on the street. The suspension is awesome too. I have done about 300 miles of 98% dirt and I'm in love. So far there is nothing I don't like about this bike.
