The dealership is called Winner's Circle, in Hillsdale Michigan. 888 591 7433

Ask for Robert Ritchie (Double R).

I met him working the Yamaha display at the Cycle World International Motorcycle show in Novi, Michigan last weekend.

I spoke to the dealership this morning. They may be able to do a couple more bikes (or so) at this price and mark it as a "show special", assuming anyone interested calls them quickly so that they can lock up the allocation. You should call and ask for Mike Bryant as Robert Ritchie is sometimes on the road.

Good luck!

Am planning on seeing the new FJR at the NY Motorcycle show over the weekend and am sure that I,ll be ordering an 08 shortly thereafter to replace my 05 which I am selling to my brother. My question is What is the MSRP on the 08? and can I expect the dealer to knock anything off this MSRP? ie: how much should the bike cost me? and at this point are the 08s readily available? thanks JIM
Jim,

I live in Georgia and called and confirmed the D & H offer. They are really nice people. However, I received a great offer from Lawrenceville Yamaha just 15 miles from home. Their offer is just a $100 over the D & H offer plus tag, title and taxes with no prep fees. I spoke with Mike Etheridge there and he is quite easy to deal with. The '08 floor model had Metzeler tires that I know to be great. Also, I did a throttle effort comparison with an '07 on the floor and the '08 is just a bit easier.

Good luck on your purchase!

Mike / gasportrider & new member.

Think yourself lucky! I live in the UK, list price for an A is UK£10995. I have had a offer for about £10000, (that is almost $20000) although there is a sales tax of 17.5%. Still a big difference in price. I hope to get my order in for an 08 very soon and get it by the end of the month.

Matt -

First off, welcome to the nut-house.

I have friends in the UK who've bought in Spain and gotten a vacation out of the price difference. They had to go through some hoop, like declaring it a used vehicle or changing exhaust or something, but can't you do something along those lines?

Bob

Thanks!! I met those guys while asking about a leftover Roadliner. I never thought to get an FJR price. I was going to look at a 2007 tomorrow, but at that price I may try the black. I read more reports of the 2007 throttle being uncooperative. I'm trying to catch up on all that's gone on in the FJR world since I decided to upgrade.

They are delivering my bike to my warehouse in a covered trailer, today. I can farkle it all up before the riding season even starts.

Woo Hoo! :yahoo:

Does anybody knows of good deals in Florida. I have a friend looking for an 08 in Florida. I bought one last year 07 but at the dealership I got it, the deal was not that good (13.2K plus tax) and I have not been happy with the service. I do love the bike so no complaints.

Thanks for the help if anyone knows

OTD here is So. Calif. is about $13,900. If I can get an A model for $13,400, I'm on it.

Is there anyone in So. Cal. (San Diego to Ventura) that would recommend a d(st)ealer?

Thanks, Ed

If you're near NE Texas, give Tony O. at Yamaha Sportscenter a shot at your business. On my 2005, he was within spitting distance of the D&H price and went WAY out of his way to deliver the bike to a spot that was convenient for me. Working with him was a pleasure and the bike was (and still is) perfect. I wish I had a good excuse to get a new one.

$13.9 OTD (includes tax, title, doc) seems pretty reasonable to me with the boatload of '07s that are still left over. You may want to check South Bay Motorsports in San Diego and talk to Ted. Not sure what he's quoting for '08s but I got my '03 & '04 from him for MSRP OTD. At $13,400 you're talking about ~ $500 profit to the dealer, pretty skinny IMO but their business has been slow and '07 was a "soft" year for them.
