1.5" Ram Ball - Stem Nut

Guys and Gals,

I'm looking for a Ram mount. What I want is a 1.5" type ball on a steering stem nut. Anyone know where I can find this, or do I have to make my own? :blink:

I have not seen any RAM mounts that come directly off the steering stem nut. Only seen Techmount's version

Spedboy - I've seen folks buy a stem cap and tap a RAM into it. There were photos out there, but I can't find them.

I attached a RAM ball to a rod, which I then attached to the 2 tank mount bolts on the frame. I'll try to post photos tonite.

I think you want the 1" Ram ball, that is the "standard" size. To answer your question- NO one makes one, I looked high and low, but I did make one using a 1/4-20 thread ram ball and a stem nut from Techmount. Cost me bout 36.00 for the nut and about 10.00 for the Ram ball, plus shipping. Total was about $60.00.

Here's mine. Instead of putting it directly onto the stem nut, I raised it 1.5" with a spacer so it would clear the bars better.

My solution to the same problem. Materials likely cost me $20. It took an hour to fab. I saw a version that someone did, that was turned on a metal lathe, and looked awesome.
