First of all, I'm not sure where the appropriate place to post this question is. I'm sure the board patrol will move it to it's proper place if it doesn't belong here .
Anyway, a little help from my fellow FJR owners would be appreciated. The scenario is: My wife has lots of vacation days to take before the end of the year and I suggested she take some time off and we would go on a trip on the FJR. To my surprise she said OK :yahoo: . Now, I can't decide the best direction to go in (leaving from Morristown, TN...east TN near Knoxville) considering factors like potential bad weather, traffic issues, expense or availability of accommodations, etc.
I would like to head out west to New Mexico and Arizona and take in some of the southern Rockies if the weather would allow at this time of the year. My wife would like to head up towards the New England states such as CT, MA, RI since she has never been there before. So, if anyone has some recommendations about these two possible directions...especially the weather that we might encounter this late in the season, I would really appreciate any feedback from your perspective and knowledge of the areas. We plan on leaving 10/12/06 and returning back to Tennessee by 10/21/06.
Please give me some tips or advice. I would welcome all of the input I can get to make the best of our upcoming motorcycle adventure.
Thanks,
Fjrtn
