Yes, I have. Time isn't a problem for me, but it would take an enormous amount of money and planning. Thirty to forty rear tires, twenty to twenty-five fronts, sixty to seventy gallons of Mobil 1, sixty to seventy oil filters, seven or eight valve adjustment/checks, lube the rear shock linkage, and a couple of places around the country to work on the bike, with parts, supplies, tools, and well-qualified, helpful friends waiting. All of this, while averaging nearly 700 miles per day *every day*. The bike is bulletproof, but my rings were shot in less than 170K miles, and you may need to replace the alternator, especially with heated gear and auxiliary lights running a substantial amount of the time. There's not much room for mishaps, like a stone punching a hole in the radiator or oil pan, both of which have happened to me, before I shielded them.
