Ladies and gentlemen:

I am putting on the schedule the 10th annual 'Ride to the Rock'. The ride leaves from my humble abode in Lincoln RI at 9am and travels the backroads of southeastern MA to Plymouth MA to visit 'the Rock' in honor of our forefathers and Thanksgiving. The ride is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year (rain/snow date Sunday 11/25). The ride will go on regardless of how cold it is or how many attend-we have had as many as 29 bikes and as few as 3. We couldn't care less what you ride but we do require the noisy HDs to ride in the rear. Leave a message here if you would like more info and directions to my house. DRESS WARM!! Coffee and donuts will be served before the ride at 7:30.

Here is quick one of the group, minus a couple of people. 29 bikes were in attendance including a bunch of forum people from up north (who usually get a-scared going this far south!)Usually we only have a couple of fjrs in attendance (my son and I). Last year it was amazing what a little good weather can do to attendance.

Notice the short sleeve shirts on the 26th of November!

I must have missed that year. I don't see me.

I hope the new linkage is breaking in well.

Yo George!!

Is your newly refurbed personal suspension going to be ready to ride by then?
I'm still on the cane but I've been riding the wing for 3 weeks (a few short trips). I can't sit for an extended period of time as of yet but the Amazon women of rehab are whipping me into shape (Owwww) I took the FJR out for a 30 mile spin on Saturday and it felt so GOOOOOD to be on a bike that handles again. The only disappointment so far is the realization that my scar means the end of my bikini model career.

I was thinking about coming this year, but waited for the weather forecast before making my plans known. Well, it looks like snow or rain Friday evening and Saturday morning in the Catskills, so I'm out unless that forecast changes.

Right now our forecast is for 44 with a 30% chance of "few showers". no snow this far south (so far). I'm meeting the Axeman on Friday in New London if anyone wants to ride earlier than Saturday. 55 degrees on Friday. 'Inside camping' (Geezer) is available.

We have famn damily obligations this time around. Hope you get the ride in (I know you will).

I would love to spend some more time snooping around in your man-cave for inspiration. I really need one of them in my back yard too.

I just need to dig up a pot 'o gold first to finance the project. ;)

Looks to be a smaller group this year...but I still look forward to seeing the destination group photo.
It will still be a pretty big group, it's just going to be a bit thin on FJRs. This is a nondenominational ride with lots of various bikes & a spider or two, many will be local people.

Thank you very much for that offer. I may take you up on it if the weather report improves. They are still predicting rain or snow on Friday where I am. I'll let you now if things change, but as it is right now now I'll plan on staying home in front of the fire.

We have had as few as 4, the weather forecast now is for the showers to start arriving later in the afternoon. This should be enough to scare away some of the garage queen hardly ablesons...
