Get the terminal block, run a piece of 14 guage house wire (solid copper wire) down one side under the screws and forget the connector strip.
Always buy the longest terminal block the electronics shop has. Cut to length. If you just touch the terminals with a drill bit you can drill them off the insulating strip for mounting. All of those different length terminal strips are cut from a long piece if you look carefully at one end and see the saw marks.
Shrink wrap....???....heat guns...???....a 2 cent butane cigarette lighter works fine and is much faster. I like the longer charcoal butane lighters with the 6 inch metal stalk a little better. Easier to get into tight places. Get them at HDepot for 99 cents. You'll learn what is too hot for the shrink wrap you have pretty quick...LOL.
