So in Nov. I bought a barely used 08. Farkeled it up good with a Russell saddle, ohlins shock, stiffer springs, cruise control, highway pegs, fz mirrors, intercom, gps with xm, traffic and weather.

The bike is perfect and next week I am leaving for about an 8,000 mile trip coast to coast and back with a lot of cool things in between.

No real question or anything, I just wanted to say nana nana boo boo!

If ya get to the bay area and San Jose.... PM and I ride this area with you........

B

And............ pee on ya......... for having the good life...... ;>

Needn't tell you to have a good time. As if you could help it....

If you get to our neck, (and you'd better) give someone a shout.

Dr. Rich will buy you a tank of gas and a bottle of hooch.

...and keep your head on a swivel. Tyler and some of her chick friends will be on the road.

Extreme hazard-ness.

I think he may want to re-consider

Thanks all!

I'll be heading to Pittsburgh from Va. Beach. My wife will be driving there with the kids. My parents are going to watch the rug rats.

I plan on doing a Bun Burner from Pittsburgh to Salt Lake City where my wife will fly into.

Then to the Grand Canyon, California, up the coast, San Fran, Yosemite, Ave. of the Giants and back to Salt Lake for the wife to fly home.

I've taken some big trips on my GS but just can't wait to let the FJR stretch her legs.

Sounds awesome! I am envious, I've been wanting to do a similar trip for about two years now, but work keeps getting in the way :(

You're picking a good time to leave the Commonwealth ... it was so humid this morning all of my house windows were fogged up.

It would be cool to see a Google Maps route of where you plan on going. I hope you continue to post as you travel; a fellow FZ6 owner is posting a bunch of photos on writing about her experience on her blog.

Safe travels and keep the shiny side up!

Dude! I'm hating you a little right now! You are going to have a blast, and I'm melting in FL with 95 Degree temps. :bye2:

Have fun and take many pics!

Be safe and enjoy your trip.

I haven't put 500 miles on my bike since I got the seat from you.

Plan on taking care of that the middle of July when I take a trip to MS.

becoyote, have a great trip - it sounds like a blast. Be sure and take FROANAMISSION up on his offer - he know some GREAT roads in and around San Jose/San Francisco.

:yahoo: Have agreat trip and you know half of the fun about buying stuff for the FJR is installing it. So you missed out on all the fun.

Did all the farkeling myself. ;)

Here is the map
