How much weight do you figure for that tailbag loaded?

For some extra storage room, do a quick search for a Tourmaster Cortech Tri-bag. The damn thing is hugh when you put both bags together. I have one and love it. Small bag for around town, big bag for extra storage or zip them both together for one huge chunk of storage sitting on your tank.

I've already packed (myself only) for a three day weekend in just the tank bag bottom including extra jeans 3 pair of undies, socks, three tee shirts and personal items. Shoot, still had room in the top bag for my riding gloves, water, shades, phone etc.

One can be had for around $150 if you shop around.

Good quality piece, two thumbs up.

The bike is actually winterized for the long winter storage. The plastic over the exhaust is to help keep moisture and the critters out. I'm not sure if it is necessary or if it even works but so far no critters at least.

I have never weighed it but I would guess around 20lb. This spring I will give it a check. I always load it the same and I should know what it weighs.

My advice: All of the good packing in the world isn't going to do you much good if you lose your only set of keys. Be sure to pack an extra set where you can get to them in an emergency.
