Wanting to hear from beemerphiles what the collective wisdom is about this model e.g. handlebar position, touring ride comfort level, any final drive issues in 2004?

Bike has Sargeant seat, Z-Technik windshield, Z-Technik exhaust system BMW Navigator III, comes with hard bags and rear soft bag that slips over a pillion backrest

Price 9300.00

Would do a ride from FL to Las Vegas and visit my daughter, ride back to Miami and ship the bike to Germany.

Great bike for sure.... rear drive like you said... what is blue book ? Does it have an extended warranty ? Does it have the service records ? Have you spoke to the dealer that did the service? You can also see it its a 'good' price just to compare by blue book / Ebay / Craig's list.. just for an idea..... I'm sure you know... parts are expensive, service is expensive, a customer of mine just found out getting a key made out of NJ is a PTA !!! and expensive, Etc..Etc...

I'm not a BMW basher.... I've ALWAYS wanted a GS1200... love'em.. LOL

Other than all that..... its a GREAT BIKE !!!

Since I'm shipping the bike back here warranty won't be available.. I had a K1100LT and there is something I just love about the brick engine, my K1100 was probably the cheapest bike to run and maintain for all the years I had her. No valve check for the 50000miles I owned the bike, just plugs, oil changes and tires and easy to do on that bike as well just don't know about the final drive for that particular year, price per kelly is just about 9000 if you take trade in and retail and split it by 2
