I am somewhat "facilitating" this for my Harley riding buddy who bought this 2 years ago and really has not ridden it. He is not a forum member, lives right by me, here is a link the CL ad with all the pics.

He bought it, had it FULLY serviced, like everything, and put a bunch of upgrades on it, and just rides his 2 custom Harleys. I guess he "thought" he wanted to into sport touring. Anyway, bike is in Tracy CA, really is a nice bike. I prepped it and took these pics. One of the nicer Gen 1's, low miles.

I can also assist with a fly-n-ride.

You can contact me as well, his contact info on AD.

He said $6500 is his bottom price.

Pretty sure that at that price he will have quite some time to grow to love it

It was a bit abrupt but Twigg has a point. Do some price shopping and you will understand his post.

well, these are just in this area. seems like the 05 is priced perfectly. This is CA!

What one "Asks" and what one "Gets" are often two entirely different things.

GLWTS

It is a beautiful example of the breed, I hope you are right as that would make all of our bikes worth more.

A quick NADA search could be illuminative.

As a favor to the board, let us know what it ends up selling for, huh?
Will do, he just turned down $5400 today.

Again, not my bike, a friend of mine, not a forum member.

This bike is actually very fast, I know Gen 1's are quicker anyway, but this one really goes!

This bike SOLD today.

Sold for $6000

Sold to a local guy here who has an 05 he commutes with that has 130k. He is getting this 05 to replace, I think.

Not sure if he is a forum member. I was not there during transaction.

My thoughts on the price here is:

This is CA, a different market. Folks here seems to just pay higher for things in general.

If this was in say, OK, may not fetch this price.

CA is almost like a different country :)
