For sale is my 2006 FJR. Currently I have 5 bikes in the garage and this needs to go. It has 135,000 mostly highway miles with very little issues besides recalls which have been all done. I would fly in and ride this bike home anywhere in the US without hesitation. All periodic maintenance has been done by myself and I also have the factory service manual.

Upgrades are as follows;

Factory Yamaha Trunk

Russell Day Long Saddle made for 200# and 5'11" tall.

Suspension is an AK-20 kit up front with a Penske rear shock from Traxxion Dynamics

Power Commander PC-V. One channel is set for performance and the other for fuel economy. Both done on a dyno and are wired thru the flasher switch so you can switch on the fly as needed.

Throttle Meister Cruise Control

R-1 mirrors for better rear view

Genmar handlebar risers

2 helmet locks on a bracket attached to the license frame, keyed to the Yamaha key.

Frame sliders

Yamaha Foot Pegs for highway use

Upgraded extremely loud horn

Spare used tall windscreen

I also have a Gen 2 dash panel although I have it off the bike.

Yes, it even comes with the saddle bag liners as well as the inserts to cover the holes when you remove the saddle bags.

I am located just north of Knoxville TN about 45 minutes from the Dragon. If you want to fly in and ride around the area for a few days before heading home, that can be arranged.

That is what I was thinking, 5-6 grand in upgrades on a 4000 dollar bike is a very good thing. It also has the spider wiring harness upgrade.

Not really to many bikes but running out of garage space. Powerman, I am prepping for a trip to Indiana so I will not see you this weekend.

I think you'd have a much easier time getting the bike out of your garage if you traded forks/shocks with another Gen2 owner (getting $1500 out of them in the process), then reducing the price of the bike accordingly.

I had considered that but did not want to gut the bike. The next owner may take that route, I do not know. It has never given a problem and all maintenance was done on time.
