I orderd my 06 manuel through my dealer,( why I don't know.) He called it in while I was there, they told him they were sold out but would have more in within a week?. bete..
You are correct. I placed the order for mine on thursday and the site said in stock. I went to the site a few mintues ago and they are now out of stock.

There's a vendor on Ebay selling the manual of CD for $11 - I asked. He wrote me the following:

"This one includes the new supplement for the 2006 model. LIT-11616-19-83 is the part number for the 2006 Supplement and LIT-11616-FJ-02 is the part number for the main (and 2005) manual."

How very confusing. But for $11 I can be a sport. I can also be a cheapskate :D . Anyone want to to share?

1) The new manual for the 2006 model is not a supplement. It is a completely new manual with over 700 pages. Have you not read any previous posts in this thread?

2) Yamaha does not release for re-sale any electronic versions of their manuals. Either this person scanned in the manual, or they stole it, or it is a knock off that is missing crucial info--either way, it ain't legal. Would you trust the info it contains? Can you verify that it's really the right manual?

Oh, wait, nevermind, you're totally getting a good deal. I think you should buy 2 or 3 of them at that price and sell them to your pals, or pirate them yourself and turn it into a business that pays for your new bike! :glare:

bramfrank,

This guy is engaged in pirating of copyrighted material for his own gain, regardless of which bike it is for.

Do yourself and the community a favor, and do not purchase his illegal product. In fact, you might do the Ebay community a favor and report him to Ebay security. They certainly do not condone this.

Cough up the $68.00 or whatever it is and buy the proper manual.

My .02.

And just in case anyone was wondering...

I received a $30 service manual in the mail today and I'm not sure what exactly I got.

By reading this thread, I have learned:

I'm an ***** for buying a pirated copy on ebay.

There may or may not be a suppliment and I may or may not have received it.

What I got says on the cover:

Yamaha

FJR1300AS©/AS/S/SC

Service Manual

Inside it says:

Supplimental Service Manual for

FJR1300R/FJR1300RC

Use this Supplimentry manual with

LIT-11616-16-18 (5JW-28197-10)

Do I have $30 of abything useful?

Or have I bought some expensive fireplace tinder?

Through a diligent search, I was successful finding War Machine's thread and ordered the service manual. Figured to post up just to get the thread back up for some of the new owners not aware of availability. Total for me was $69.53 w/ shipping. Thanks WM.
