2006 FJR Windshield

We are now shipping our medium and tall windshields for the 2006 FJR. Our shield has been in the field for almost a month now, including being tested at, um, "high speeds" in the New Mexico desert and getting a law-enforcement glare at Deal's Gap. Is the picture of the medium or tall screen?

+1 on the photo being tall or medium. Do you have a photo of the other size?

This is big cash outlay... can I return it if it doesn't work for my size and riding position?

Hi guys,

What's pictured is our +3.5" tall shield. The medium is one inch shorter. You can't really see much of a difference between them in a picture - the medium is a bit shorter, a bit narrower at the top.

You can return it. If it's in sellable condition (we recommend wrapping it in saran wrap if you're worried) you get all your money; else there's a $30 restocking fee. We have sold several hundred FJR windshields. We've exchanged a dozen or two due to owners desiring a different size. We've replaced a two due to manufacturing defects. I don't recall anyone ever wanting their money back on one of our FJR shields.

The shield pictured above is our 22nd engineering change on the '06 FJR shield. We work really hard on these. We're not yet convinced that our XL shield is the best we can make, so it's not released for sale yet. A few more days, I think.

Mark; ever tried shorter than standard? Double bubble - type?

Our experience is that short shields don't sell. For the '03 - '05 FJR, we've sold about 6 short screens total, ever. We don't have any plans to make a short screen for the '06..
