You come across deals like this from time to time.

I picked up my first FJR from a Toyota dealership that just wanted it off the lot.

Good find! I hope someone gets a smoking deal on a great bike!

Report back Steve and let us know how things turned out...

I wouldn't wait too long...

Dang that's cheap. Doesn't even look dropped. Sure is a fugly windshield though.

Wow, this is awesome if this is the actual mileage. Isn't this the year of instrument cluster-****?

Sure the seller isn't a gentleman from Nigeria who just needs $4,500 so he can cover the cost of shipping it to you? And all he needs to do that is your credit card number and SSN? Too good to be true? Call me a cynic.

Nope - that's Scott Pittmans' dealership; I used to work with him back in the day when he got started. Good guy; haven't met the listed salesman, but Scott and his General Manager Dusty are good people. It'll be as represented.

Hm, this gets more and more interesting.....Galaxy's right.....who wants a POS genII....other then skooterG for his spare parts store in arizonia?

OK, I'm always skeptical, but never unreasonable. Just ask my wife. I can always be convinced to change my opinion, with irrefutable facts or unassailable logic. So it's a reputable dealership. That's a good plus. And the bike looks pristine. That's another. I damn near phoned just now, but only to satisfy my curiosity; I'd only frustrate myself since I'm not in the market. But I'd love to know why it's so low? The price is below market, which is hard to understand from a dealer. I'd like to know if they have the bike's full history.

But yeah, I could be convinced. So who's going to go look at it (if it's still on the market) and report back? (*hint*) Just pretty amazing to see such a clean-looking, at least partially farkled (V-Stream windscreen too), low-mileage FJR at this price anywhere, let alone a dealer. I'd love to see somebody on the forum jump on this, if it's what it seems to be.

Edit: Ah what the hell. I called up the salesman. It's a car dealership and they took the bike in trade and just want to get it off the lot with minimum hassles, he tells me. Also that somebody--forum guy?--in Minnesota is interested and is having a local guy (you, William?) come look at it and let him know. So it's still for sale, with a possible sale kind of pending. Says one of the forks is leaking a little, that's the only thing he knows wrong with it. One-owner bike, too, btw.

Spiders checked? The auto dealer will know nothing of anything on the bike.

I hope whoever checked it has a good checklist...

For that price, I guess you can deal with some gremlins. Great looking bike and an OEM top case to boot?, rubber still looks very ride-able. Somebody snatch it up before I add it to my garage!

You guys keep draggin' your feet on this bike and

you will cost ME big-time. The cost of the bike AND

a retainer fee on a divorce attorney.

3 bikes already and I get her "Something has to go"

ultimatum. When I sold the truck instead- I got the couch.

A bike #4... Well no more couch... Or house or.....

I live about 5 miles from that dealership and will be by there tomorrow. I'll check on it and see if it's still there. Witlessevil dude. I live in Andover. 2004 FJR.

Whoever checks on it can call a Yamaha dealer with the VIN and see if all recalls were done?
