I'm not sure how many of you make it over to st.net's site. I thought that I'd throw a post out there for people who might like to take a look-see at this event. The event is to be held in Canaan, WV... from what I understand this is great roads people! I got my WV map in the mail yesterday & I'm ready to go!

Linky to st.net National discussion

Hope to see ya' there!

hmmm - sounds very promising. thanks!

problem is, very tough for me to commit to a wed/thurs 5 months from now.

anyone else interested that might be somewhere in the neighborhood of central/eastern PA or northern Maryland? anyone from up north that might be coming down I81?

I've suggested to Yamahaulic making the ramble directly following this event (June 16 & 17). Don't actually know if this would happen but it sure would be nice to ride down the road & be at another meet for a couple of days. Woo hoo.... can't wait for either of these runs! Almost a whole week of riding! That'd be too cool!

I am very much considering your suggestion, luv2ride! Once work calms down a little I will be making firm plans.

Pretty definite on the ST.N National, still some work \ life scheduling to resolve.

Even if the ramble is not around those dates I thinking of staying around the area to Sunday.

I was in WV last Labol Day weekend, best 4 days a had in a long time. Canaan area is great. I'm going back this summer, late August.

HY. 250 WV. to Virigina to great, the curves never stop. If you get the chance try it.

Elevation changes, speepers, and not much traffic. :)

mech 1... I'll probably ride out on 250 into Canaan. I'll be riding out from VA.

This meet should be a good one... cannot wait!!!

Me too Bugr. Thinking about making a long weekend in WV.

Thanks Luvtoride for the “heads up“. I put my request for time off regarding the ST National. It would be great to hook up with some fellow FJR riders during/after the STN meet. Any choice roads? Cheers. :drinks:

I hear that almost all of WV roads are good. I'm really looking forward to a good twisty run.

ATTENTION...For those that plan on attending the st.net National. This is info that I grabbed from st.net. This is the resulting answer of the question:

Can non-members still attend the national if they register?

This is the answer from DantesDame... one of the admin crew over there:

two things:

1) non-members can come, but I don't think that they should expect anything if they don't register. If they want to partake in the dinner/shirt/prizes then they can spare 5 minutes and register to STN and become Real Members.

2) I sent in the deposit today for the Resort. Looks like its official!

As far as I can figure out to be a member of the STN you just have to go sport touring.net web site and join. Right?

I am still playing with the idea to go in June.

So many places to go and never enough holidays.. :dribble:

Actually a member can go but if they don't register for the event they won't be able to partake in the dinner , T shirt or prizes.

Huron, to register for the st.net site, you do just go over there and register (sport-touring.net). I think what Dantes Dame was talking about is registering for the actual meet. That takes a wee bit o' cash ($40 clams)... but also brings dinner, tee & door prizes.

Probably to get the Nationals discount at the hotel I'd assume that you just need to register with the forum & make your reservations with the information given on the site.

I myself, am interested in partaking in the events... so, I registered for the actual event. (I really just want a tee, dinner & door prizes, really really). From what I've read some people have won GPS units & stuff of quality such as that at some of their meets.

This is a great site for anyone that hasn't been over there. It's not FJR specific but sport touring specific. Some really good stuff ova' yonda'.

Check it out.

Oh Heidi

I agree with you fully.... If I go I will register so I will meet and partake in all the events... might even get involve the odd liquid refreshment around the picnic table.

My real name...you wouldn't be wid the feds would ya? B)

Yeah, I'm psyched for WV in June. It will be nice to meet you and the others coming. I'm doing a roomshare with Trinibob during the ST.net meet and the Ramble so Trinibob will be at both also.

Doing the CFO in September or else I might have done the EOM.

I'll probably check out the WFO and/or EOM next year.

Doing some MO/AR roads in May to tide me over till June.

See you in June,

Mark/wheaton

Thought I posted it but it might be on another thread, I think luvtoride has 4 of the things going :D

Anyway I'm booked, I'll be coming in on the Wednesday and staying for the ramble as well.
