I have some fairing parts I would be willing to send your way if you need them. They have very minor scratches on them. Front left and right uppers. Let me know.

I just found out that part 3P6-2834P-00-00 is back ordered. It is the link to the windshield on the top. throttle side. I don't know any reason to have one extra but if someone does, let me know. Figures, a $10.00 item out of a $850.00 order.

Thanks,

It's looking really good! Would you say that you saved money overall from rebuilding this yourself? Or was it a labor of love?

Was able to put a few miles on the 07 yesterday. Almost ready for summer.

I see you ordered 2005 mirros. Did thet bolt up to the 2007? If so ,do you have a pic of what they look like on the 2007?

Received the mirrors today got them installed and I just posted a couple of photos on the blog of them. They do bolt up without any modification.

Did I save money? I guess time will tell. I now have a 07 FJR with 10,000 miles with $5,000 invested not counting labor. If I bought a brand new one, I'd probably have it apart in a week anyway.

Overall I feel good about the project.

I am really gonna have to give them mirrors a lot of thought. did you buy new,and if so what is the going price for a paip? Looks great, have fun!!

Repaired!!

Put 300 miles on over the weekend and enjoyed every mile of it. It is very impressive and so far is everything I was hoping it would be. Riding position is a bit different than my Beemer and the shoulders ached a bit until I felt comfortable enough to relax a bit. I now need to compile all my receipts and get it inspected by the DMV before I can get new tags next year.

Thank you all for the information and encouragement in the rebuilding process. It's on with the FARKLE

For medical reasons the resurrected 07 is up for sale, $7300. It'll be on craigslist in the next day or two and I'll update the blog. I don't think I put 2500 miles on it since it was road worthy waiting for the title to come back.
