Gixxerjasen - thanks for the tip. You are right, but a little wrong. The color is Cerulean Blue (not Silver). Either way, I think most people will call it Grey.

No, Gixxer had it right.

The 2006 and 2007 AE models in North America were Cerulean Silver like the 2004 A. No "blue" anywhere in the official color name.

Hi everyone - I had a question about the headset jack I mounted into the left fairing near the OEM heated grip controller.

Its actually a STARCOM outlet (not an AutoCom as previously posted) - see below to the left of the PowerLet outlet and above the Cruise Control).

The outlet leads into the glovebox, where there is an OEM cigarette lighter outlet. You could put your Digital STARCOM box there, draw power and connect it further to a Zumo, CB, FRS, Radar or other media device including cell phone.

I also have a Momentary switch mounted into the ElectricShift cluster (it also runs to the Glove Box) and serves as the PTT or Push-To-Talk button. If the weather will ever cooperate, I've take a picture of the PTT Momentary and post it here.

In actuality, it doesn't matter whether it is STARCOM or AutoCOM as the connector outlets are easily swapped out and the PTT could be turned into a Garage door opener.

Anyway I just wanted to correct the ad. I'll post the PTT picture as soon as weather changes.

Oh - and the bike is not "Grey" it's Cerulean Silver.

Now that thew weather has cleared, just following-up on the communications connections mounted on the bike:

STARCom headset jack (covered) leads into glove box where the OEM cigarette lighter output is. A momentary switch was put into the left-hand control cluster, also for the STARCom.

If you have another system or just want to replace with another PowerLet outlet - it would take about ten minutes to remove and replace. The momentary could be changed over to a garage door opener.

You're killin' me. That's close to what I think I'd ask for my 2005 with similar miles at this time of year. Be patient. It's April and the fever is about to hit.

I might be passing nearby. Traveling to CA on 4/18 and will start the ride back to PA on 4/23 via a southern route that will probably go through AK, TN, NC, VA. As I hear it, NW Arkansas has some good roads.

TominCA - thanks for the props and encouragement.

If someone wants an electric/paddle shifter with cruise control, I think this is an excellent buy (especially at $5900) with the upside being an Arkansas vacation for a fly-n-buy. We have some of the top five US motorcycling landscapes here in the Natural State. I'm on great roads 10 minutes from my front door.

So if you are still coming through next week, drop me a message and I can suggest some routes. You can also spend a minute checking out this link:

https://www.motorcycleroads.com/Routes/Arkansas_79.html

which has most of my favorites listed.

Thanks again for your message.

This is gonna be a hell of a deal for someone. If I were in the market I would scoop it up.

Do you have it on ebay and craigslist as well? Listing it here is like preaching to the choir. Most folks already have at least one.

Although the paint name is Cerulean Silver, the paint code is BS04, or bluish silver. Park it next to a silver FJR and you'll see the blue pop out. Or if you are like a large portion of males over 40 you won't.

Thanks Allrider.

There are lotsa bikes on the market right now. I just checked eBay. Good market but I've had terrible experiences selling there - I sold a BMWRT and a Yamaha Venture hack some years ago. Here at least here are riders - although perhaps all singing the same song.

My ad on Craigslist has been running for about 3 weeks: https://fayar.craigslist.org/mcy/3699923800.html

I'll think about eBay some more, or perhaps even Cycle Trader.

Looks like you are trading up to the Gen III - enjoy

SOLD

Allrider, I listed on eBay and sold the bike in 14 days. The experience was pretty good, better than before. Of course the cost was nearly $300 between listing fees, sales fees and PayPal fees.

Thanks for everyone's messages and support.
