This is my third FJR and, much as i love it, it's time to try a different bike. 21,000 miles and counting on this one. Incredibly comfortable Bill Mayer seat.Standard stuff -- ABS, bag liners and such -- plus throttle lock. Also a RAM mount and wired for radar detector. It's not pristine -- it's been to British Columbia and southern California -- but it's darned clean. I'm the second owner, first owner was the dealer ... and he rode it lightly. Tires still have some miles on them, but maybe only a couple thousand. Fresh oil: Rotella synthetic and filter every 5,000 miles.

NADA says low retail is $7450 but with the low mileage, the Mayer seat and the RAM mount, I'm looking for $7500.

Clear title in hand.

I'll get some photos up but be assured it really is black cherry. [email protected]

Bill , Is a 2013 Gen III in your future ??? Real nice bike and a Great Guy............... Ed
Nope. I don't think so, Ed, though I'm drawn to it. I'm leaning toward a Super Tenere. As you know, I've taken FJRs from the Carolinas to California, Maine to Washington, Canadian Rockies to Big Bend and LOTS of places in between. I came to the realization recently that, at my age, if I'm ever going to really try -- put down some serious miles -- a different style bike, I'd better get started. And since I can only afford one bike at a time...

Thanks, Ty. Putting new Pilot Roads on this weekend... developed a bubble (yikes!) on the front -- Shinko -- over the weekend.

@Mike: Yeah, Iknow. I don't have a photo hosting account and I get so darned busy at work that I just never get around to creating one. Lots of emailable pix, though.

Bill doesn't frequent the boards very much , You might try his E-Mail . He put a new pair of Michelin PR3 s on and fell in love all over again. But I think he still wants a Sup Ten. Nice Bike..... Ed

Is it still on the market?
I don't think so. He had also posted on twtex forums. As of Jan 28, he had put new tires on and sorta fell in love with the bike again.

I too was interested right around that time.

Even with the new tires (Ed's right. Michelin PR3s are da bomb!) and the new V-Strom handguards, I'd have sold the FJR and tried the S10 for a while. However, I have to pay Mr. Obama and pals so I'm done shopping for a while. The bike's off the market. Thanks for our interest... It is a sweet bike.
