I'm awestruck after viewing the flight capabilities of the F22 Raptor. It's simply otherworldly, gravity and physics defying in its abilities. This machine and its pilot simply blew the crowd away... Little kids screamed in delight, teen boys thumped and threw approving fists skyward, grow-ups cheered, whooped, hoo-rah'd or stood silent, slack jawed and awestruck. A retired navy pilot of the Vietnam era stood at attention, stiff handed salute to brow and a tear streaming down his weathered cheek...

This shot: The plane came in level at maybe 3 - 400 knots and then at this point, shot vertical in a blink, rose a thousand feet and just sat on its tail for 5 or 10 seconds. Freaky cool!

Of course, this was kinda cool, but paled in the light of the F22:

And, a way cool Heritage Flyby:

And yet another nifty use for Duct Tape - Runway joint sealer!

Cool. It's been a long time since I have been to an airshow. They are always extremely impressive. It was 1988 when I saw a demonstation by the then fairly new F-18. Incredible. Wish I coulda been there.

Well done TWN, great pics. Thanks for sharing. :D

..and I think you should continue with your piano lessons --- you show great promise :p
