What can you tell me about the Yoshimura exhaust as far as tone, decibels, performance....?

The Yoshimura has a nice growl sound only few DB's louder then the stock exhaust and as far as performance it is slightly better.
but once you have the yosh pipes on you always see the FJR badge when you walk up to your bike.

If its the basic helibars (pair) that raise the bars 1 inch then no break line extensions should be needed.
