First off, to give you better advice, can you expand on what you mean by "runs horribly at low throttle openings?"I have owned my 2008 FJR for almost 2 weeks now.
My idle is set at 1,100 RsPM and it has fresh 87 octane in it. Ran an injector cleaner in the last tank of gas...
Still runs horibly at small throtle openings; WHAT THE F!!
I would like to set the throttle bodies and the TPS, I just dont know how to do the throttle bodies and I dont know where the TPS is located.
Tried to search for TPS, but the search didnt work.....
Got a link for a good "how to"?
You can't search on a three letter word using the forum's built in search feature. But you can by using Google like this:
checking TPS site:fjrforum.com
There really is no need to adjust the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). You just want to check it out and make sure it is functioning correctly with the "Diags" screen. A TBS (Throttle Body Sync) is an adjustment, but will not likely be of much help in alleviating your low rpm symptoms (whatever they are) unless it is really hosed up.
Oh yeah, almost forgot to answer the question in the thread title: The TPS is located on the end of the throttle body. It's item #18 in the parts fiche
