FYI: I updated my post to include the price quote I was given by D&H. Nice folks, give them a call.

Hey, look what followed me home!

Big ups to Fredericksburg Power Sports to providing the best responses via email and the best price within five hundred miles from my house. D&H had the best overall price, but after factoring in airfare and gas on the trip back it was pretty close.

I should be able to rack up my 600 miles for the first service by the end of the month, which should also give me a better chance to evaluate the bike.

First impression: Holy smokes why didn't I buy this bike two years ago? :)

So much smoother all the way around than the BMW K1200LTE I owned for about a year. Very manageable at low speeds and dense traffic. Great power and response even at an 80MPH cruise. Smiles, smiles, smiles.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I feel like I got more than my money's worth, but I appreciate you helping me to get the best deal.

Congratulations! Nice pic and nice bike.

Why is there sticker on the left fork? They put the inspection sticker on the front of the bike?

Yep, that's the inspection sticker. Dealerships or inspection centers also put them on the swingarm or on the fork near the handlebars here. Some people have plates specially designed for their inspection stickers so they don't go on the bike itself, too.

very nice bike - you're gonna love it !

i could have pushed for a better deal locally - but the local dealer needed the business so in the end i wound up paying a bit more and worked with him.

while that may sound generous - it isn't - i want them to stay in business for my sake more than theirs - ha!

however i do plan to get my Y.E.S. via D&H. before my 1 year warranty expires.

on a side note - NC is going away from inspection stickers - everything will now be timed with the tag registration - if the tag is good so is the inspection.

Hey Dr

Congratulations on the new ride. I have had mine for about one month. I LOVE IT! :clapping: I LOVE IT! :yahoo: I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! :clapping: I LOVE IT! :yahoo: I LOVE IT!

I traded in my Harley full dresser. :dribble: What a PIG that thing was. The FJR is ten times the bike.

Have fun with it.

Congrats on a great bike! Here's hoping you have as much fun on your bike as I've had on mine.
