Crazy in a good way of course...imagine 1000 miles/24 hours/25 mountain passes from Tioga to Lassen. Originating in the Sacramento area of Norcal, this ride was completed 2 years ago and is slated for late June this year, exact dates pending. If interested click on the link in my sig, routes posted in the 1st post. Currently about 4 of us committed but still at liberty...at least they haven't locked us up yet ... B)

Ahh, my CBA prezidency would be jeopardy should I challenge such an endeavor.

Have fun kids... :clapping:

Looks like a fun ride. Your schedule won't work with mine but I saved the route so I can run it myself some day.

BTW, I've taken the original 3 S&T files and made them into a single Mapsource file and GPX file. If anybody wants the waypoints and route in a consolidated format, let me know.

Uhhh, letting you know!! Thanks Jerry!, you're the atomic bomb!

Looks like fun. I did parts of your Leg 1 (89 from Topaz to Hwy 50) and Leg 3 during the WORD! Rally last year, and parts of Leg 1 last weekend. We couldn't get over 89 so we had to go Gardnerville to Kingsbury to Tahoe instead. Beautiful territory just about any time of year.

That would be a great day in the saddle. Come on summertime.(Fastfar, did you by chance see forum member Cello II's report of his Northern CA Mountain Pass Blowout last summer? Remarkable!)
I believe that would be Alan, who is also on pashnit forum...He wasn't able to join us in 2007 and put his own route together with some minor differences, mainly he went further south and counted some passes we didn't see...

We start out as a group and separate as different riding styles become apparent...and they will. Not everyone has a bike with the legs of an FJR, and some don't have the butts for 2-1/2 to 3 hours in the saddle at a stretch...Also riding with a group sets a slower pace than solo. I could have knocked at least 2 or 3 hours off my time in 2007 if I had been solo or with one buddy. But with 8 riders it takes longer to leave a stop and there are more stops for gas, smokes etc. OTH there is some safety in numbers in case of unplanned scenarios...
