2009 Models Announced

The Motor Company has flexed its engineering muscle and came-up with a new model for '09 -- the Tri Glide Ultra Classic (aka, a Lehman Trike). But now with full factory backing/promo/profits.

Can Big-H be far behind with the G-W? I can imagine that all the manufacturers are looking at (in-house) 3 & 4 wheelers for the ever-ageing American market.

And the '09 Triumph Thunderbird will feature a 1600cc parallel twin...! That should be enuff to get the job done.... :blink:

I am wondering whether offering a 'factory' trike model is a good move, for any manufacturer... I can see the lawsuits piling up.

The long-awaited 1600cc Triumph cruiser is neat, but I understand it's not scheduled for release, until the 2010 model year. I'd rather have a Speed Triple, anyway.

One look at Americade this past June revealed that the trike market is growing exponentially every year. I was amazed at the numbers of trikes compared to previous years.

...and they're putting the Daytona 675 suspension on the '09 Street Triple. Methinks my '06 Sprint is going to become a Street Triple!

I think that is the reason Honda Moved it's wing operation back to Japan to work on a trike.
