I'm thinking this new Bandit would be a hoot to ride if we could get it here in the US:

I sold a '97 Bandit when I bought the FJR. That new one is sweet looking. If they have the same powerhouse that should be a sweet ride. Engine is virtually bullet proof. Man that thing screemed! :yahoo:

They need to put a bigger tank on it though.

1250 Bandit 'S' was all-new in '07(?) in the U.S. -- liquid-cooled vs air/oil of previous Bandits (among other things...).

Don't really know about the bike in 'bmwhd's pic -- but, many touring accessories have been available from Suzuki dealers for Bandits.

My brother has a 2009 Bandit S. A very nice budget bike that is nevertheless quite refined in all its compromises. Very smooth, very ballsy motor - no big hit on top but gobs of torque throughout the rev range. Get's mileage about 10 percent less than an FJR and has the smaller tank so range ain't great. If they could build this fared job, keep the extra weight to 50 lbs. or less and keep the price under $10,000, they'd have a real winner - one I might even consider.

Of course, I'd like shaft drive, adjustable windscreen...oh yeah, that's the Feej I'm describing.
