Ride your motorcycle, eat BBQ and support a great cause, oh and win valuable prizes too. What's not to like??

2011 Smoke Chasing Grand Tour will be a fund raiser for Eddie's Road and a great way to explore and eat some fine BBQ.

Read all about it here.

I'm in. I may have a hard time even completing the tour, but I like meat on a stick, and it's for a good cause.

It's only $25 to enter.
I guess Maine isn't a BBQ hot bed  All you need is 3 joints in 5 states and the all the states back east are so little it'll hardly take many miles to cover it all :p

Why thanks for talking this up, guys. I figured it would have a slant to joints in the east, but when I saw the list of places, what did I see but:

The Hitching Post, Casmalia, CA (Grillmaster’s Favorite)

This just happens to be in my backyard.

I met Eddie and Lisa in Spokane at the finish of the 09 IBR. Eddie insisted on treating me and Joe Zulaski to some Texas smoked barbeque in the street fair that was taking place in the park next to the hotel. It was very memorable and illustrates how generous and thoughtful Eddie was in his enthusiasm.

I will go to the Hitching Place in his honor and think of him. Since I owe him a lunch, and it should be quite a long time until I am able to repay him, this is going to be the closest thing I can do until then....

It's find your own joint where ever they are the list is of Eddie's favorites if you get one of those then your list is "Eddie Approved".

:big_boss:

The list of riders is growing but there are all these state that don't have anyone signed up yet. Green state are represented, white not so much <_<

Somebody tell me there's no BBQ lovers in Kansas  and no one in Missouri likes to eat at Arthur Bryant's.

Eat to ride, ride to eat. Raise money for a good cause, in Eddie's memory. I'm signed up.

Nothing better in life, food wise, than good BBQ.

A reason to ride and eat good food while supporting a good cause is hard to pass up.

I am in...now to decide what level to do...

Mike

We grabbed our first this weekend as well...Theodore's Booze, Blues and BBQ.

Yes, this has been fun thus far. Ohio/Indiana covered. KY/MI next, plan to get quite a few during the MD2020.

FWIW there is very little BBQ in Indiana on the East side from I-70 South, actually NONE until you get into Lawrenceburg.

Seems like those little BBQ joints are EVERYWHERE, until you're looking for them ;)

While we don't have a ton of them up in NE...finding them with BBQ or Barbecue or derivation thereof makes it a bit tougher as well.
