Awesome report.. Besides the fact your daughter rides that far, staying out in the soaking rain that long is impressive to me. :) Not sure I would have been in for getting that wet to watch a race (even if I rode 700 miles to watch). Call me the wuzzy. :)

Another great ride report! You, Sir, have a lovely daughter (as you well know)... her smile is absolutely killer, and she is obviously a trooper to be willing to make that trek in weather conditions like you guys had.

Some of the best memories I have are of time spent with my younger son aboard our bikes (after he sucked me back into the whole mc thing after about 35 years off). Last summer we headed south through Oregon and N. California to share the fun of the great roads there. You will recall that last summer had it's wet moments too! Even with the rain starting on us by time we had completed the first leg up Windy Ridge and back, and continuing for the bulk of the next 5 days, it was still a blast to be remembered forever.

Just talked to him today, setting up this year's version of what I hope will be an annual event for a number of years.

Good on ya both!

Don

Great report again this year Warchild. I'm going to get my daughter on her first road bike this summer and hope to have some of these same types of memories with her in the not-too-distant future.

Glad to see you both made the trip home safe and sound. :)
