I always forget about posting this in your Forum, so sorry for the late notice!

The 2013 edition of the Discover Kern County 200 is set to start at 0700 hours on October 26th in Bakersfield California. This is an eight hour rally in the confines of Kern County California. You have to ride a minimum of 200 miles to be considered a finisher. This is a "free" rally! All I ask for is a minimum of a $25.00 donation. All donations and proceeds from the raffle and or auction go directly to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation. All cost for the rally are picked up by sponsors so you know your money is going directly to the Foundation.

You get a T-shirt and a BBQ at the finish Banquet. The BBQ is being done by Grills Gone Wild and if you know anyone who was there last year they can attest to how good the food is! Wendy Crockett of CycleSmiths in Kernville California is donating the raffle prizes and she always donates so good stuff like SPOTS and stuff!

I have a pretty good list of riders so far and the entries keep coming in! If this kind of riding interest you and you have nothing better to do on October 26th come join us for some good rally fun! You can register and get more information at,

www.discoverkerncounty200.com

I hope to see you here!

Just a bump for the DKC200! the 26th is quickly approaching and you need to get registered so I know how many t-shirts to get!!! Come have some fun!

What a bunch of wuss's around here.

Wow, a whole 200 mile rally and no one from here signs up (except OCFJR)

I guess no one trusts their FJR to make it to the finish line?

Good cause and sounds like fun, 200 is easy enough even with my honey on the back be-atching at me!

Oh wait, you're jus about 1 State too far away from me

Have fun guys

Just a follow up on the DKC 200. What a blast, such great riding east of Bakersfield in the Southern Sierra's. Caliente Creek, Bodfish and Granite roads were so nice and almost no traffic.

I believe there were about 8 or 9 IBR Rally riders in this event so my hopes of a podium finish were dashed about as quick as those guys at a fuel stop. Actually I was just glad not to DNF, I lost some points due to my poor reading comprehension (or something like that) but no matter, it was about riding new roads for me that was the real fun.

Big shout out to Matt our rally bastard who put together great sponsors, food and a fun DKC Rally.

Highly recommend this 8 hour rally for anyone wanting to have a fun time in Kern County.

I found out about it too late and already had my SoCal trip planned... I was in Kernville but about four days too early!! Got to have dinner with Wendy though so it was good... I'll keep an eye out for this next year. B)
