It looks like this incredibly smooth, fast and comfy machine will have to be my last. Two major orthopedic surgeries in the last couple of years (both non-motorcycle related) and some stern words from my surgeon (who is also a friend) about the absolute need to never significantly injure my left shoulder again have forced me to make some tough decisions.
After owning three FJR1300s (this one, an '07 and an '05), IMO this one is certainly the best of the bunch. As many here already know, Generation 3 FJRs come standard with Electronic Cruise Control, Traction Control, ABS, Sport Mode and Touring Mode Throttle Select, Electric Windshield, 3-level Heated Grips, etc. The improvement in throttle response on the '13 (electronic, smooth and linear) vs the earlier models is noticeable.

The original owner from whom I bought it via this forum in late summer 2014 is a middle-age government accountant in Ft. Worth whose garage was perhaps the most spotless and organized I've ever seen. I've always kept it in my garage unless on a ride. Changed oil (with full synthetic, motorcycle-specific) every 4,000 miles. It is due for a change in another 900 miles, (about the same time when I'd start looking at fresh tires too). I already have the oil and filter for the next change. I can either give that to you or change it here.
The Penske shock has about 4,000 miles on it and I lubricated the shock linkage when I installed it. Brake/clutch line fluids were changed last fall, front fork oil about a year ago. The only issue that I ever had with the bike was when the little micro switch on the front brake lever which got a bit sticky and caused a fault in the cruise control. Yamaha replaced the switch for me under warranty. Other than that, it has been flawless. It has never been down or crashed and starts/runs/rides like a new bike (actually rides better than new with the Penske shock).
Odometer is at 13,085. The Texas tags are good thru Nov 2018.
