I went to the bike show today and they had 2 Gen III FJR's on the floor, one was stripped of its fairing, I snapped a bunch of pics with my phone, and thought I'd share them... I've been lusting for an FJR for a few years now, and I see a Gen III in my future come spring: I asked the Yamaha corporate rep about the electronic suspension version and he said they MIGHT bring it in 2014 without the auto clutch. It was a definite maybe. (I would opt for this model over the USD forks with electronic adjustment).
that thing hanging from the pannier holder is a power unit that powers the tail light and LED front lights without turning the key on.
the brown wire below is hooked up to that charger unit..there's a good amount of storage under the seats, I like that.
The engine is in here somewhere..
Left side, behind the airbox, and other side of ABS module. Looks like an ABS diagnostics plug and there were a couple of other unused connectors
Front left side:There are 2 or 3 white plugs upfront that were unplugged. One of the looks to be for the accessory plug in the storage box.
This pathetic horn has to go:
Good size fork protection:
Battery, fuses, and electrics:
Not a good shot of the ABS pump:
The Immobilizer on the Euro / Canadian FJR:
Can't wait to have one!
