Well I figured it was too good to be true, work stomped on my plans and now I am out. Reservations cancelled

Have fun. Be careful.

Well a couple weeks ago I called Peter to tell him I was not going to make it to Clinton (we were roomie's). I was on a ride to Colorado for last week and a half. Thought it would be a bit unfair to the wife to come back from vacation, then leave home the following weekend.

As it worked out, came back from Colorado early because of snow on the high mountain passes. Planning a offroad ride from the Four Corners to Wyoming. Then the snow came, and I came home after 3000+ smiles. So, I traded a day at work, and I'm back in.

As always, if any of you guys from out of town have any problem or issue's (tires, electrical, ect). I would be glad to be of help. I will be home from work around 3:15pm on Thursday. And plan on being at the Kettle at 7pm. But my shop can be open late if needed.

Also, if there is any interest in a big bike adventure ride let me know. I do know a fair amount of gravel roads and fun off the beaten path riding. Nothing to hard core, just fun stuff. I know a few of you guys have S-10 or big dual sport.

I will be on my KTM 990... let me know, and I will get my routes loaded...

Just finished the bookings on the hotel and ready to hit the road. Thursday will roll around quick. Now to figure out the gear situation. Looks like the weather will be pretty nice.

Very cool hospitality Smitty141 you extended there. I'll have the tuner and slip on drop shipped for Thursday nights pit stop Hahaha

Thank again !!!!

Hey guys, I was looking forward to this ride - had ridden with a few of you at SW Wisconsin back in July. But I literally just got back from a 3 wk, 6000+ mi road trip (a little more than I originally planned) and I am just not ready to hit the road again for another 2000 miles. Hope to catch up with some of you again next season. I will be cancelling motel reservations if anyone was having trouble finding rooms for this ride............

looks like a cold front is coming in late Friday evening dropping overnight temps into the 40s and daytime high on Sat of 64 and Sun of 62.
Should be good riding weather if you have the cool weather clothes.
Typical Hooterville weather...actually, better than normal.

Should be some great riding!

Gonna have to take me off the maybe list. I was going to try and take off and ride for part of the day Friday but I have a bid to review and turn in and just can't get away

Have fun and be safe!

Taking orders for cold drinks after a feast of Catfish. I'm not a drinker, but I will bring a cooler of ICE and your favorite beer.

What do you animals have a taste for?? And how much do I need to pickup?? Case, 30 pack?? More???

I presume there will be about 10 of us total in Farmington, I'm not the keeper of the numbers...but that seems about right. I know that you, griff and Marty don't do beer...so that leaves about 7 or so. I would guess a 12 pack or an 18 would be plenty as most just have 1, 2, or maybe three at the most the day before the Hooterville ride. Of course I could be wrong and zzzzip or GalaxyBlue will show up and my estimate will be way off.

I will drink most anything but Budweiser products. For main stream beers, I usually choose a Miller High Life or MGD. I won't bother to axe you to buy a craft beer, or a "main stream craft beer" like Fat Tire or Goose Island products...I remember that we are in Hooterville.

Let me know how much, and I am in for at least a 3rd of the $$.

Thanks Smitty!

(I know Marty will be off to get a milkshake at Steak n Shake...which actually sounds pretty damn good, too)

As much as I like beer, I probably won't make it Thursday. Possible, but not probable. Plan to catch up in Clinton and rehydrate.

I will not be updating this thread. Information here is and will not be current. Please see the Hooterville thread on the Riders forum for accurate information.

That is all.
