Thank you all for your kind words. I will try real hard to hang in here with hopes that the bike sells to someone here. That'd be my preference. I have really babied this bike and want it to go to a good owner.

Babied it is an understatement sir....

My God - you spent more time installing farkles then you have riding it.... Ugh....

Brakes my heart...... :(

If my wife wasn't 2 weeks away from giving birth I would be up for a road trip, but its a LONG way from me! 2500km (1500mi)

I could be, Sam, if you took a good route home.

Without farkles and Y.E.S. warranty - $11500 (the only farkles that will remain are the 3rd brake light, tank pad, metal straight tire valves and mud flap).

We can also talk about leaving some farkles, etc.

As is with everything - $12500

Any takers?

If interested, please be aware that I have a lien on this bike through my credit union and the payment would have to come via a cashier's check to the bank. I'm holding off as long as I can from listing on Ebay but may soon go down that path.

Update: with His help, I'm able to keep the bike and won't have to sell. I love this bike and really like the setup and the way it rides.

I'm so glad the bike didn't sell.
Best news I've heard all day! Congrats!!!!! And enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Great news, I could feel the pain in your posts and am happy that it has worked out for you. Enjoy the miles and miles to come.

Happy? That is exactly right. This damned motorcycle has been a thorn in my side since he posted. I keep telling myself I don't need it, I want the electronic suspension...

For the OP, I am truly happy for you. I would have loved to buy this bike but I HATE the feeling that I profited from someone else's misery. I hope the job situation has/continues to improve. Losing a motorcycle or a boat due to financial difficulties is... I would be scarred forever.

Congrats.... Had it not been the color - I might have bitten the bullet.....

Glad it has worked out that you get to keep your baby sir.... so awesome....

I contacted Yamaha and they told me that the Yes warranty is transferable only if it sold thru a dealer.

Not sure who at "Yamaha" you spoke with, but... they lied (or at least fibbed).

The YES warranty is transferable to any new owner regardless of the conditions of sale. It is in the terms of the YES warranty document.

It may require an inspection (possibly paid... $$) by the dealership facilitating the transfer, and it is certainly also potentially going to be affected by the standard conditions of any warranty (i.e. that you can prove appropriate maintenance has been performed).

But, in my first hand experience, the dealerships are not particularly strict about the inspection requirement, (mine was transferred without an inspection) and the adherence to required maintenance schedule thing is a very gray area, dependent on the type of claim you have.

Ask again, and see if you get a better answer.
