My name is Mike Williams and I put together last year's RDL Group Buy on the Vulcan Bagger Forum that several members here participated in. I wanted to let the membership here know that there is a 2013 Group Buy process that has begun over on the ADVrider.com site. I am assisting that gentleman in putting this year's group buy together. Mike, Will the RDL for a Gen II work on a Gen III? I plan to buy a Gen III when the 2014 comes out and I would consider buying an RDL under the group buy if the seat is a fit on the gen III.

Seats are interchangeable between GenII and GenIII bikes. Just got back from CFO and had several guys "test ride" Russell's from a 2010 on a 2013. They snap right in! Good luck on your seat shopping..!

Patience young Grasshopper... Your desire to save on a RDL seat is in good hands. They will wait to commit and gather every last full price seat order they can muster. They waited until the last moment last year as well, but a $100,000 group buy profit is hard for any retailer to pass by. Plus... It keeps them busy through December and January until the Spring orders start arriving in February and March.

I concur, the RDL group buy is a no go. Russel says they are not doing a group buy this year.
