I am possibly thinking of trading in the '08 next year unless they come out with some hideous color. Watching the forum for any foibles that might arise with the 2013 "redesign". Was wondering if the throttle has a cable that goes to......somewhere, or if there is a wire coming directly out of the throttle control. How about idle adjustment? And is the TBS done the same way as previous models?

Bogus - there is a thread under FJR specific area that is addressing the idle adjustment and throttle body sync. I would have linked to it but not sure how to do that on the iPad.

Throttle has cables that go to a sensor which tells the ECU where your grip is. Actual throttle actuation is by ECU command to another device. The fly-by-wire is what makes the T and S modes possible, and allows the simple addition of cruise control.

Idle issues thread already linked.

Not aware of TBS differences. Doesn't mean there aren't any, just means I don't know.

Yep modified fly by wire, with throttle cables.

Check it out (and watch the video at the end)

These from a previous post here----Thanks for that!

I’m not certain that this is the one we have on out 2013 FJRs, but it’s likely.
