Start off with whatever your Driver's Manual tells you. That's what I'm doing on my '14, so far so good, it corners more confidently than either of my Gen IIs did (36 F, 42 R).

How many miles on your '14? I ran the manual recommended 36f 42r for the first 3-4k miles and ended up with cupping on the front that caused a shake between 41-49 mph. I have run 39f 42r on the 023GT's for over 4k miles and no cupping/shakes.

Not yet reached 600, so no comment on wear.
My Gen IIs I always ran 40 F, 43 R (recommended 39/42).

36 in the front of my Gen IIs felt stodgy, nothing like my Gen III, which has good turn-in and good tracking. I can only presume the difference is in the suspension, mine is the UK AS, so has the electrically adjustable of the US ES.

I propose running it at the recommended pressures unless or until I experience any adverse effects.

15K in 8 months is righteous riding. Props to the OP.

I hope you try to wear it out. You won't, but why not give it hell trying?

Good review Marty. I have 6K on my bike and nothing has fallen off yet. I will check those bag emblems before my 3400 mile ride through the PNW. Tires, I have 4/32 tread on F and 3/32 tread on R. I run 39psi F and 42psi R. There is no cupping on front and rear is getting a little squared. I weight 145lbs and do not go into turns hot. Instead of braking I downshift frequently. On my 07 I ran PR2's with same air pressure and typically got 12-15k on a set of tires.

Good info.

Please don't turn this into a tire thread folks. Plenty of those about. Tire choices and tire pressures are very personal so run whatever suits you best. As a general rule - higher tire pressures = longer life; lower = more traction.
