Your killing my resale value here...But thats ok cause mine is not for sale.

sorry! I did create a lowered price just because of a) scratches and kinks; ii) mileage (though, yeah, for our bikes 55k ain't that much; 3) it's a firm and cash-and-carry price...so I'm discounting somewhat for that as well.

You know I was just kidding. And I’m like you and prefer to put a great price out and have people fight over it than to set a high price and sit around waiting for takers. Like I said, good luck with the sale. Someone’s going to get a nice bargain.

I've also posted it on ADV Rider and Wildguzzi.

PM me if you're interested or have specific questions. Thanks.

About 200+ view among three forums where I've posted this (here, ADV, and WildGuzzi). I'm guessing that the time for '14 ESs to be desirable at a great price are gone?

Love that she gets 41ish MPG US, too.

My guess is that it is the 55k miles that makes it less desirable.

Sure, we FJR afficianados know 55k is nothing, but the general unwashed public thinks that is a bike thats all used up and they wont pay that much for a high miler. That, and there are a lot of low mile 2014s available on the resale market. Ive seen a few locally for sale with way lower miles than my own up for sale for less than Id want for mine. Its just something that we have to be aware of when we rack up the miles on a young bike; that you are going to pay for those miles when it comes time to part ways.

Thats why I plan to keep mine forever. ;)

^^^^ What Fred said. I too plan to keep my red rocket for many years unless Yamaha offers another same color red. Then i would become a seller of my current bike to gain the 6 sp, slipper clutch, and LED lights. At 76 years old now, that would be my last new bike.

For me it's on the wrong coast. I passed on a similarly priced 2014 ES in Ohio due to logistics.
No worries...even if ya wanted to do a fly-and-ride, that's a long trip. I'd originally bought it 600 miles from me. From Tacoma...well, that'd be an epic ride!

Around 2850 miles - no better way to get introduced to the new wheels. Earlier this year, I did a 3200 mile fly-and-ride from western British Columbia to New Brunswick to pick up my new-to-me 2011. A day to get there and five reasonably leisurely riding days back.
