I know I'll be looking real hard at it!
Hopefully they bumped up the cruise control limit in the US....
Didn't know it had a limit. That could be a deal breaker!

Red sounds good though (if they can't make it black).
Mine will set to 82. No big deal to me. Other sports cruisers won't set at all.
Set at 82 on our 80 mph limit interstates and you will be stuck in the slow lane.
I just got back from Utah. I set it as high as it'd go and wasn't in the way. If I caught slower moving traffic, I'd use the throttle to merge to the fast lane and go by then move right and resume.

Don't get me wrong. I'd like it to set higher, but I'll take what I've got rather than take nothing at all or try to adapt something else.

The 82 MPH cruise limit is a real downer. There are highways in Texas with legal speeds higher than that. I'm waiting for some intelligent person to figure out how to "fix" that... or for Yamaha to say "whoops. Let us fix that for you."

If I'm not mistaken, and that is highly possible, Texas State HIghway 130 has an 85mph limit for approx. 41 miles. That's it.

Well heck if its only 41 miles...I can hold the throttle that long. Shoot, I've gone over 100k miles w/o a throttle lock, 41 miles should be a cinch.

That's true... currently. This may change for some stretches of I-10 and I-20 out west if studies are performed to show the speeds are safe.

From a fairly reliable source, the 2014 model will be candy apple RED,
Should know for certain after 9-6-13.
LIke this?

All a matter of personal opinion. The color can have a tremendous effect on the impression a bike makes on someone. Just yesterday my cousin and I were viewing pics from our last trip. There was a very good pic of the three bikes at a rest stop on Hwy 82 in Texas.

His very attractive Sister in Law burst out with, "Who rides the one in the middle? That bike is FINE!"

Since Pop was listening, I asked her "Don't you think that looks like something an old man would ride? Doesn't it look slow?"

She came back with, "That looks like something a REAL Man would ride. And that color!"

She left the room to tell her husband they were going to have to sell their GoldWing.

I have ridden quite a few miles with Pop and that Black Cherry FJR. It is astonishing to me the # of people that compliment him on that bike and that color.

Not astonishing to me. What is astonishing is that you didn't include any pictures of the very attractive Sister In Law...

We are not riding on the same bike jackass! I will say he has an unfair advantage. Almost anything looks good parked next to my Honda ST...

Oh, and I will be filling out a Hurt Feelings Report.

I had multiple issues here.

1) The camera was hooked to the TV and I was in display mode. Everyone would have noticed it on that big flatscreen.

2) Since she was sitting RightNexttoMe I was doing my best to look everywhere but at her.

3) Mrs. Redfish was in the room and... Well, you know I cannot afford a divorce right now.

Ha! I think this thread just made NEPRT. I wondered how it lasted this long.

It's parked between an ST and a Hondapotomus. Even the poopy brown FJR will get love when you display it such as that!

Now the 05 and 06 blue...she should LOVE that!

Says the guy with the bike painted "I'm too lazy to shift my own gears Cerulean Silver". It's so homely you won't even wash it.

Seriously, that bike stood out in every picture I took of the group. No doubt the FJR has better lines than either of the Hondas. And I also love the blue of the '06 and '12 with the blue of '05 running right behind.
