Hi folks, I'm in beautiful Corner Brook. I've been following your plans for the ride to the Rock and would really like to hook up while you're in this area, however work obligations are preventing that. If you have any questions regarding this area just let me know and I'll try to help. And same if anybody has trouble just message me and I'll do my best.

We just got back from the Port au Port loop and I'd recommend it for anybody who has half a day to kill over this way. You guys should really enjoy the scenery and hospitality in Newfoundland. Have fun and be safe!

The TKCs seem to be doing well so far. Lots of miles ahead.

Update:

To my surprise - not only do the TCKs rock in the dirt, they are as sticky on the pavement as any street tire I have used. They were well tested on the 211 km of twisties coming down from Manic V. Waiting for comments from Brownsider #002.

We maybe the last ones home..... Got in last night about 5pm 24 days 9,000 kms. A big thanks to Jeff, Jeff, Rob,and Scott for helping out in the parking. What is a rally without fixing something on some ones bike eh?

I had a great trip. Two nights (going and returning) on the ferry, two nights staying with my daughter in St. John's and six nights of camping at provincial parks. 6400 km total, 10 nights (11 days). Met a few folks on the ferry and in the hotel parking lot in Deer Lake but pretty much did my own thing. Newfoundland is a GREAT place to ride although (in my opinion) more suited to a solo trip than a rally.

Parks were:

Pistolet Bay

Sir Richard Squires

Dildo Run

Lockston Path

Blow-Me-Down

Sandbanks

Season pass for parks $20.00 Per night fee $15.00. Includes flush toilets and free showers. Very clean and beautiful settings.
