2015 Black Hills FJR Roundup 25-28 June 2015

A bump and a report:

Snow all gone, weather warming nicely, still a little sand on the roads, need some rain!

There is a 25 sq mile wildfire about 60 miles north of us, if we get no moisture there will be more, but we are not in nearly as bad of shape as our friends in California. They are just plain Fuclxed!!!

I can't wait John. I wish I wasn't so busy or I would sneak down for a four day sneak preview of the great scenery and twisty roads. When I'm riding the great roads like Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, Needles Hwy, or Iron Mountain Road it puts me in a conundrum. Do I slow down and enjoy the sights of the beautiful Black Hills or do I enjoy a nice spirited ride through the curves? Multi tasking could be dangerous for a guy like me if I were to attempt to see the sights and tear up the roads at the same time.

Come on May for SW-FOG!

Nice video but there is no clip of a FJR rider enjoying Spearfish Canyon, Needles Hwy, Iron Mountain road or the rest of that great area.

Last night my 60 something wife asked me what I'd do if she started smoking. I told her I'd use more lubricant. I get he feeling that's not what she was talking about....

I saw the post about the round up and am planning on going to it. I'm going to try to do an Iron Butt 2K and end up in Spearfish to finish and R&R a little. I live in northern CO. I'll start working a room at one of the listed hotels unless you know of something that is close and available.
