2016-12-26 Trees In The Hood
It is winter time on the Central California coast. The oak trees are naked and skies are blue. What better time to take a ride to town and look at some trees. While in town, I will get replacement center stand bolts for the 2006 FJR 1300, KrZy8.
42°F A perfect day to ride.
Winter time it is also the time to prepare fields for dry farming.
Some nice Santa even drug the road making it possible to get the street bike out to pavement.
Finally, trees.
We have been in a major drought for five years now. Oak trees are showing signs of stress. It is very common to see fallen limbs or complete trees.

Note we are still are the dirt road.
.
One good wind storm and this one will be in the fence or across the road. My chain saws are prepped.
.
.
.
For reference, the bulding in background is the Creston fire department.
.
Pretty coolio.
.
Breakfast at David's in Atascadero. Home food. Really good. Recommended.
At the hardware store for center stand bolts, ran across this horny guy. Someday I might try my hand at metal art. First, I have to find some talent.
Pretty fun, huh?
Say whaaaaaat? Heated Bosch gear?
This pic for the photo tag game on FjrForum.com!
The most perfectly shaped non-trimmed Christmas tree EVER. Santa Margarita park. At night it's all lit up. Congrats to the Margarita peeps, job very well done!

Our area also lots of pine trees.
The old bridge east of Santa Margarity on Huer Huero road.
Playing with the camera.

Heading east on Rossi's hiway, aka 229.

Wish I had framed this one better. I love the tenacity of life to cling on. Near Las Pilitas.
.
Bulls and cows, hunkered down. You can't see it, but it's very windy on this ride.
.
.
Battered, beaten down, hungry. Still alive.
Our Christmas tree this year. Easy to decorate!
And of course, my favorite tree. Tim's tree. Doing well, thank you very much.
