Going up to Philly next week to visit my daughter. Might vacuum up some sites in DC, DE, MD, NJ, VA, PA, MA, WV, NC, CT, RI and NY

You are one strange sum *****!

Riding up to the cold northeast on purpose to ride in traffic...SMH!
Makes me appreciate SC that much more

Griff, just as a head's up, PA4 memorial is in the middle of a very busy roundabout. Parking to get your photo can be awkward. I'd suggest trying to get to it either early morning on a weekend or after work hours through the week, say after 5 or 5:30 when the city workers clear out. I went in on a Saturday morning around 7:30 am and was able to park on the street close enough for a good picture.

Chuck - I just looked at this site on streetview. Plenty of sidewalks to pull up on. No problem.

Nice! Just wanted to offer a head's up to a fellow forum and TOH rider!
Thanks Chuck. Just joking. Appreciate the heads up. I do typically try to hit high traffic areas in off peak times, have been known to ride around in circle looking for a spot. Worst case, park away from the site and get two pictures with the flag/site and flag/bike. I plan to hit the DC sites this Sunday morning. Some of them look like a challenge.

He's also been known to enlist a fellow rider to block traffic for him.

DC1, DC2, and DC3 were each challenging.

DC1 you can't get your bike in the picture at all. It's not even remotely possible. Short walk down a trail and have to take pic from edge of water. I was lucky there was a scout troop having lunch there and a scout leader offered to take my photo holding my flag.

DC2 there is a small area you can park, not exactly legally, that if there's no traffic you can stand in a traffic lane and get your shot.

DC3 I just put the flashers on and stopped in the right turn lane with Mona sitting on her bike behind mine so I could get the photo. Sunday early afternoon traffic was very light in that part of town.

DC4 is a piece of cake after those 3.

Best of luck and ride safe! I live in PA so if you run into any issues in that area look me up.

I noted that about DC1. Just need to get there early enough on Sunday morning to get a parking space right by the walk down to the site. DC2 - just watch the guard shack for snipers ready to take out rogue FJRs

Damn ...11 states? Holy smokes that just might put you over the top! Have fun up there Griff. Those roads in Mo were choice ones last week.
