77 degrees. Perfect. Most of the road is really good. New pavement from Plantina to HWY 3.
They always say rain then it never does. Except when it does.Looks like the weather for the west coast is turning to ****. Not sure if I want to spend a week in rain gear. Considering truck and trailer.
I see Clem pretty much every Wed when BarriesBoyz meet in Santa Margarita!John, I met Clement at the Furnace Creek gas stations in 2001. It was my first time down there with a dualsport and while filling up Clement ( test riding the new GL1800 Yellow wing) said "hey dualsports? Wanna learn a new road? Turned us on to Abercrombie's favorite desert road...Echo Canyon.
He's a great guy who may know more roads than most anyone.
Got the rain gear ready and the White Whale will be southbound in the AM.Riding in weather on a Supermoto is not in the cards. Switching to plan B....the Hippo.
Metrologist don't know squat bout the weather but you can measure and calibrate it once it's there. It ain't gonna rain! I'm a former Metrologist and know of what I speak!
Oh wait, wether is Metrologist!
Never Mind..
Have some faith in your wrenching skilz and ride the KZ1300 down! :rofl:Metrologist don't know squat bout the weather but you can measure and calibrate it once it's there. It ain't gonna rain! I'm a former Metrologist and know of what I speak!

Never Mind..I'm gonna sacrifice the KZ1300 to the weather gods to make not rain. Win-Win.
Now that's just mean Donnie Bob. There's no doubt that the KZ would make the trip just fine but the damn thing doesn't have a hitch for my trailer or a heated Russell seat for my tender little tush. There are priorities here.Have some faith in your wrenching skilz and ride the KZ1300 down!Metrologist don't know squat bout the weather but you can measure and calibrate it once it's there. It ain't gonna rain!
