Motrhead: Most people will already be registered by the time you arrive on Friday. Seek out me, or Barb, or Tyler and we will get you your registration package. We won't be hard to find!
Rough schedule is:
- Thursday: arrive and check-in/pick up your registration package and t-shirts if ordered (timing TBA - will be posted at the Lodge)/arrange your own dinner (see Bob's comments in this thread about limited options for dining)/mingle (BYOB) in the parking lot at the Lodge (even if you aren't staying there)/introduce yourselves and form small riding groups for the next day/get some sleep! Local LEO's are incredibly cool as long as we confine ourselves to partying in the parking lot, but we ask that you do not walk around the streets of Nakusp with open alcohol or you may be charged... Unlike CFR 2009 and 2018, we do not have the entire Lodge reserved for our group, so there will be a significant minority of Lodge guests there to attend a wedding. I doubt that they will be early-to-bed types, but please be respectful - we are FJR riders and we're in Canada!
- Friday is a riding day for many/most so expect it to be relatively quiet at the Lodge between 9 and 5. Many other local activities for those who choose not to ride or it the "R" word makes an appearance. Dinner on your own/mingle in the parking lot (BYOB - there may be a few snacks provided by the rally)/find some like-minded folks for Saturday rides and same rules as Thursday night above please!
- Saturday is another riding day. Traditionally there is a group photo in the later afternoon. I will be in Vancouver by that time attending my granddaughter's grad (and I have no photo skills) so Tyler and/or Barb will be letting you know if/when/where there's going to be a photo shoot. Timing for the banquet at the Legion (short walk away) will be confirmed at registration. There will be a fair amount of swag to distribute and an opportunity to support a deserving charity, but as we are pinch-hitting for Bob on the fly here, full details will be provided later - when we know what we are doing!
- Sunday: Tearful goodbyes to all of your new BFF's - another wonderful Ramble is over!
Mr. Collings, Rally-Master extraordinaire, please feel free to add to this!
