2022 FJR Side Cases

Has any of you new 2022 FJR owners gotten your side cases yet?? I think I saw on here somewhere that at least one person did. It's been 6 months for me. I had ordered the trunk at the same time. It came 3 months ago but was damaged and had to send it back. They say I won't see the new trunk until the end of January.

I was told 2 months. But that was from the dealership that I bought it from. Not holding my breath. I just ordered a topcase mount for the case I already have in the meantime. Fingers crossed .

Thanks for the response! i appreciate it. When I bought mine in June they said probably Oct - Nov. It's been 6 months now. And, it has been 4 months since I got my Yamaha trunk and had to return it because it was damaged. I was able to get the mount and had it mounted on the bike before I picked up. So, I am ready to go! Just need the cases! Ha! At least I have the bike to ride some. I think I have around 4700 miles on it or so. How do you like yours? Is it your first FJR? May I ask where you live??

I love it, only has 50 miles on it so far as it's cold as f#@! here at the moment. It's my 3rd FJR. I had a 2006, 2016 now this. I live in Newberry Florida.

It doesn't get cold in Florida!! It is hard to go away from the FJR. I had a 2007 for 13 years. My son-in-law. The 2022 is my second. Probably my last. I'm going to "try" to baby it until I wear out my 2012 K1600 GTL. Someone gave it to me last year and I have put 21,000 on it. I think it has 108,000 right now. I have to say that is a pretty cool bike. But man is it expensive to fix!!! Yike! I don't know if I said, but I'm in Winston-Salem, NC

It does. Ordered the truck as well. It got to me in two months and it was broken. Ha! Still waiting on it too! Happy New Year!!

Full Throttle powersports. Just west of Charlotte.
It was a special order for someone. It took so long to get the bike the original customer cancelled. They put the bike on the floor and I bought it.

Maybe the bags came so quickly because the bike was sold when ordered. That is just speculation on my part.

They said the bags were in and I went and got the bags.

They even put locktite on the screws.

Well that is great. We may be close. I live in Winston-Salem. I bought mine on June 30, 2022 in Indianapolis. Dreyer Motorsports. There were only 10 left in the country at the time. It was the closest place to me at that time that had one. And I knew some people that worked through racing that I'm involved with. I flew up there from Charlotte to get it. Strapped my bag down on the back seat and drove it out of the show room w/ "0" miles on it. So cool. I also ordered the Yamaha trunk. It came in Sept and was delivered to me at Barber Motorsports Park and it was damaged pretty bad in shipping and had to send it back. Still waiting on that as well. Ha! Thankfully I have another sport-touring bike so when I do travel I have a bike to use. I just drive the FJR around town and short little trips. Again, I truly am happy for you. It's exactly how I am going to feel when I finally get mine!

Going to get the 600 mile service done this coming week. Then I will be ready for a trip. I lived in Florida. So this NC weather is colder than I am used to. I am ready for a long trip.

Mine was also one that was ordered by someone else who backed out. They put it on the showroom floor for $17888 with no freight or dealer set up fees. I saw it advertised and drove past at least 6 other dealers to get it in Olympia, WA. In the time waiting, I used the scuffed bags off my totaled 2016 model, which happens to be the same color. I did have to plastic weld one of the hooks on each of the 2016's bags, but they worked well while I waited.

That is great! I'm SO jealous! Stop all you guys telling me got your cases!!! Hahaha! I'm very happy for you. I do have the black cherry 2007 cases but I can't hardly bear to put them on! Haha! I havea K1600 so I'm just using that for my long trips for right now. Hope you have a great first long trip on it. If you don't have some already get some good Gerbing heated gear and you will be fine.

That is so awesome man. Glad you were able to get the bike. Very cool. I also have old cases from my 2007. But, it is hard for to use them because it looks so bad! I'll just keep using the K1600 for the long trips and the FJR when I can ride and don't need luggage. Hopefully they will get here soon.

If I were you I would be calling the Yamaha Corporate customer service line and inquiring as to why you haven't received your sidebags yet. Me thinks you have fallen through the cracks somewhere. Most likely, your dealer is screwing something up.
