Hate to burst someone's bubble, but the bike in the first video is a Honda alright, but not a Pacific Coast, it's most certainly a late Honda Silver Wing with the ultra potent 500cc V twin. ;)

Or it might even be a CBR1100XX. B)

I'll wager that the indicated speed is 5-10% higher than the real speed.

And, given that there are no curves and that where he is from you have to run at least 200-240 kph in the left lane just to keep from being run down, what's the big deal?
You're right, it is not a big deal at all. People go that fast on motorcycles all the time, although I never would. I actually just thought it was kind of a cool video. That's why I posted it. Sorry if it feels like I wasted your time.
What is cool about the whole thing is that he did nothing illegal!

i don't believe there is a speed limit on the autobahns.

What I appreciated was the lane disipline exercised by the people who use the Autobahn. It is my understanding, 'right lane unless passing', is strickly inforced and carries big fines for violations.
Agreed. over there the road is understood to be a way to get from here to there. Here in the states the road is a place to vent frustration and aggression. We ****** USA drivers could learn a thing or two from those whacky Germans :)
+2. They are very good drivers and understand that driving is a privilege, not a right. Also illegal to talk on a cell phone and drive, something we need here.

My reactions watching the video:

  • What the f**K language is that?! I don't think that dude's from around here....
  • Hey, is that a motorcycle...? All right! I like motorcycles.
  • Man, look how quickly the dude climbs through the speedo.
  • Shifting on the redline in every gear. Cool!
  • Hey, he's going pretty fast. Does that say "300" on the speedo?
  • Wait a minute. I think those are kilometers. I REALLY don't think that guy's from around here. Is that Canada?
  • Oh f**K is that a semi-truck!? Phew, close call....
  • Dude must be old. He left his left turn signal on.
  • Gosh it sure gets dark fast in Canada.
Anyway, you call that a motorcycle video? That ain't a motorcycle video. THAT's a motorcycle video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcoq-zpkSUM

Not a waste, per se . . . It is always fun to see people risking life and limb. But as an accomplishment it'd be a lot more impressive had it been shot on the Dragon at that speed.
The dragon at half that speed is impressive.

Inded...it is a CBR1100XX Blackbird. Filmed in Germany.

I have the video on a info/support CD we have here in Australia for our FJ/XJR user forum. Lotsa videos on the CD...and that one always brings a smile to my face. Nice riding....for a Honda pilot.
