Or it might even be a CBR1100XX. B)Hate to burst someone's bubble, but the bike in the first video is a Honda alright, but not a Pacific Coast, it's most certainly a late Honda Silver Wing with the ultra potent 500cc V twin.
What is cool about the whole thing is that he did nothing illegal! You're right, it is not a big deal at all. People go that fast on motorcycles all the time, although I never would. I actually just thought it was kind of a cool video. That's why I posted it. Sorry if it feels like I wasted your time.I'll wager that the indicated speed is 5-10% higher than the real speed.
And, given that there are no curves and that where he is from you have to run at least 200-240 kph in the left lane just to keep from being run down, what's the big deal?
+2. They are very good drivers and understand that driving is a privilege, not a right. Also illegal to talk on a cell phone and drive, something we need here.Agreed. over there the road is understood to be a way to get from here to there. Here in the states the road is a place to vent frustration and aggression. We ****** USA drivers could learn a thing or two from those whacky GermansWhat I appreciated was the lane disipline exercised by the people who use the Autobahn. It is my understanding, 'right lane unless passing', is strickly inforced and carries big fines for violations.
My reactions watching the video:
That dude's a *****. He wouldn't last a day commuting on Bay Area freeways! :lol:Same guy here...but crazier...if thats possible. Ghost Rider
Thanks for the link! I like the way he power shifts. I like to see that tach do it's little jump between gears.
The dragon at half that speed is impressive. Not a waste, per se . . . It is always fun to see people risking life and limb. But as an accomplishment it'd be a lot more impressive had it been shot on the Dragon at that speed.
That was great !!! :clapping:
